About the Artist

Buds and Buddies is owned and operated by Tracey Martin. Her colorful art is populated by whimsical characters from worlds both real and imagined.

Tracey's daughter, friends, pets and pastimes come to life in scenes of sunbathing cats, yoga-loving dogs, pregnant figures announcing new arrivals and party-going children all dressed up with somewhere to go. She masterfully blends traditional drawing techniques with digital enhancement to imbue her art with dynamic form, color and vitality.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Tracey moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1996 where she now lives with her husband, daughter, four dogs, a cat and many other pets that regularly come to visit and decide to stay.
